Clear your calendars for Wednesday, December 8 for the annual Ay117 Statistics in Astronomy Conference. This year the conference is in sunny Pasadena, CA, at the world-famous Cahill Center for Astronomy & Astrophysics.
Conference registration is free, yet mandatory for Ay117 students and TAs.
We will have seven 10-minute oral presentations (+5 minutes for Q&A), and a poster session. Sign up now for a poster or oral presentation slot (posters are graded much more harshly than oral presentations). Abstract submission open through November 17.
The session chair is Professor John Johnson who will give a talk entitled "Bayesian Statistics: There's no magic." Contact him via email for abstract submission (plain text only).
